Hi Michelle! Just watched your Vlog on discernment and you mentioned that it was a spiritual gift. I remember asking a woman at church once if discernment was a spiritual gift and she told me no. Is it a true spiritual gift? Thanks so much!

Hi Kimberly- She may have said that because she was specifically looking for the word “discernment” in one of the spiritual gifts lists and it was worded another way in her Bible. For example, the ESV words it “the ability to distinguish between spirits”. But, yes, it is a spiritual gift listed in 1 Corinthians 12:10. (To an extent, discernment also has aspects of wisdom (12:7) and prophecy (12:10).)
