Popular False Teachers & Unbiblical Trends

Sadly, today’s churches, Christian retailers, and other evangelical organizations are rife with false teachers teaching false doctrine. Often, women (and sometimes pastors and elders) write to me, concerned over a particular teacher whose materials their church is using, and want to see evidence demonstrating whether or not this person is a false teacher. The articles below are evidentiary findings on today’s most popular teachers, speakers, and authors for women (as well as a few male teachers, ministries, and current trends in evangelicalism). Please use them as teaching tools in the spirit of 2 Timothy 2:24-26 to help others understand the sin and false doctrine these people are promoting, keeping in mind that the people who follow them most likely simply don’t know they’re following false teachers.

If you are considering commenting or sending me an e-mail objecting to the fact that I warn against false teachers, please click here and read this article first. Your objection is most likely answered here. I won’t be publishing comments or answering e-mails that are answered by this article.

Please understand that this is not a comprehensive list of every false teacher in existence (there are thousands of them, so that would be impossible), and do not assume that just because you don’t see a particular teacher, ministry, or trend listed that he/she/it must therefore be doctrinally sound. I provide information here largely in answer to questions from my readers. In other words, if you don’t see it, it’s either because I haven’t been asked about it, or I haven’t had time to get to it yet. The names you see are simply the most well-known teachers my readers have inquired about.

Don’t see the name of the teacher you’re looking for in the lists below? Check out my article Is She a False Teacher? 7 Steps to Figuring It Out on Your Own.

Looking for information on doctrinally sound or unsound Christian music? Check out my article The Mailbag: False Doctrine in Contemporary Christian Music.

There are a handful of people named on this page who are NOT false teachers. Please READ the linked articles carefully and don’t make assumptions.
